open world shooter mmorpg?

how well do you think a game like this would work? a open world where you use guns instead of swords and magic. i couldn't find any games like this but the idea is interesting

usually such games are fantasy genre so this would be something new

isn't fallout 76 kinda that? or is that not mmo? i never tried it cuz i heard it was buggy, even for bethesda.

i've only heard of it and doesn't look like mmorpg

Many MMORPGs have firearms in them and they just behave like another weapon.

There's a handful that do focus on firearms, but not many of them have really become popular enough to be considered successful. Fallen Earth comes to mind.

that's pretty much what Destiny 2 is, and i think it works really well.

destiny 2 looks good. i didn't think there would any in a more modern setting. most are in post-apocalyptic world which i don't like. does it have character creation?

Playing this one at the moment, it's about as close as you'll get to what your looking for I think.. Be warned, your character is reset every 6 weeks or so, you keep certain things though.
