Thoughts on people eating Cats and Dogs?
...Seriously I view these animals as companions and even friends/family...
But this thought lingers rent free in my head as the fact that a human being out in the world views my furry cuddly friend that sleeps in my house and/or my loyal yet loud companion as another morsel.

Seriously I like having pets but this fact haunts me.

It's October.
And I still shudder the thought if I ever think about that fact.

...Cause seeing a picture of a cat caged like a chicken being prepared as meal haunts me like the video of a country that has people eating dogs has poachers that hunt supposedly stray dogs and sometimes end up kidnapping someone's beloved dog that hung out with the wrong pack as a result...

Or just straight up ignore that fact and just take someone's dog, remove the collar and then slaughter them for meat and the owner of that dog will never see them again forever haunting them for the rest of their life- It's ****ed up is what i'm saying.

We're nearing Halloween. I gotta make something uncomfortable cause horror is not supposed to make you comfortable.

Cause if it did we'd already have a Halloween themed dating simulator.
...It probably exists now that I think about it. :depresso:

As they are carnivores, I doubt the meat from dogs or cats would be as good as from herbivores like cows or sheep. So that's not an option for me.

Assuming they were raised and slaughtered humanely, I have nothing in principal against someone else eating cat or dog.
I wouldn't eat them but I'm not completely against others eating them
animals eat animals circle of life
I love cows they're adorable and I would easily have one as a pet, but I also love burgers, mince meat and steak so I'm conflicted
every continent has animal dishes that others can't imagine consuming uwu
I have contemplated things like this, and how in America, for example, we consider cats and dogs to be pets while chickens are considered food, despite the fact that I raise chickens as pets and cannot imagine eating them. They have a reputation for being wild and dumb, but with the right amount of love, they can be quite tame. Mine are very tame and allow me to pet and hold them. It makes you wonder how humans decide which animals to love and which to slaughter. We may think eating cats and dogs is disgusting, but it is the norm in those countries. In some places, people eat horse meat and baby ducks still in their eggs.
i would rather eat another person than a cat. no, i am not joking. i have a very, very strong attachment towards cats.

I don't think I would care. Equality for all animals lol
There are very good reasons not to eat carnivores.

No meat is bad; it's just a question of what type your body needs. If you are lifting weights to grow muscle, you need protein. This means meat which is higher in protein is good for you. But if you're not doing that, you don't need as much protein. Protein is only good up to the amount your body needs to repair or grow tissue. Any beyond that is a burden. For most people, they will get plenty of protein from meat that is low protein, high fat.

Animal fat is the body's primary and preferred energy source. It's also where nutrition is stored in the animal. This right here is the main reason you should be eating anything. You eat for energy and nutrition. Animal fat is the best for both, although eggs come in 2nd for the nutrition.

I doubt they would taste better than what we already eat or even good at all. I'd rather eat horse / rabbit / rats before a cat or a dog.
One animal I don’t mind trying is alligator. Some say it taste like a fish and a chicken.
