lets bring back empathy

yes i know this is the internet and blah blah but lets bring back empathy.
something i'v noticed lately online and off is people have lost the ability to feel for anyone thats not close to them. so like idk how we do it but lets give it a try! its not as cringe as you think.

empathy isn't just when its easy true empathy you will have regardless. doesn't mean you condone anything

People either have empathy or they don't.

But I suppose people could be encouraged to fake it in order to avoid being ostracized.

I am emotionally unable to feel empathy for people I don't know or have no connection to in real life.

Some dude gets shot in the middle of the street in Chicago - not a damn thing I can do about it.

everyone has empathy... well some don't but that is actually rare so i don't buy that excuse. but just thought i'd open a discussion about it as its been on my mind

It's not an excuse. I'm 38. The older I get, the less emotional energy I have for things that aren't in my personal bubble.

the older i get the more empathic i have become , maybe its like a bell curve. when i get proper old i wont care or something :D

I cared a whole lot when I was younger. Might have used up that energy much earlier than others. Now, if someone I know is in trouble, that's when I'll care like a loyal dog.
