Why don't most "torrent" their gasoline if they hate fuel prices so much?
Even filling up a gallon inside a gas tank, you still have to pay since taking it without paying the amount displayed is still theft. This is NOT something you can just torrent from a computer, since it's a physical asset (like oil), meaning you need to literally go to a gas station hijack the filling port than "pirating" that but there's a challenge since all gas stations are open 24 hours.

Let's say a "pirate" managed to bring their own tanker truck doing the opposite: instead of refilling the main tank located underground, it suctions the entire storage tank putting all that fuel into the truck all without paying anything at all since using the actual pump triggers a flow meter which calculates the cost displayed. They are doing this since they hate how expensive gas really is.

One could technically use alcohol as an alternate fuel source for their vehicles but that depends on the concentration, plus alcohol doesn't have the same effectiveness as actual gasoline. All modes of transportation need an energy source (solar, fuel and electrical) for them to function. Although "torrenting" gasoline isn't easy as you would want it to be since it requires effort.

You can run a car off of cooking oil, which is much cheaper. There was an entire town in Wales that started doing it. They were caught when the local coppers realised the whole town smelled like a fish and chip shop.

Apparently, running a car on cooking oil is illegal... Because reasons.
Maybe you should put it in perspective have a look at fuel prices in the rest of the world ...

This is what they attempt to do in Nigeria a lot of the time and it ends in tragic loss of life.
