why do you hate rap music?

Statements like "ew they listens to rap, thats cringe" or "why the rap music?" or "rap isnt real music" are things you may have heard, read or even said yourself.

Why is hiphop genre so hated? Every genre has bad songs or artists, and rap certainly does too but it also got good songs and artists that care about their craft. but from what I’ve seen, many people act like rap is inherently garbage.

I don't listen to it, but to say I hate it isn't fair because I have a tremendous amount of respect for it.

I only wish I had an ounce of the talent and integrity of guys like Chuck D, Dr Dre, or Ice Cube.

i think you have fundamentally misunderstood why black americans do that. it is not about "looking cool", it is about not wanting to piss off white people so they do not become victims of police or racist violence. "keeping ones nose down". this is not just a phenomenon in usa, it is a thing everywhere that impoverished groups will do.

It's fine. Some of the subgenres are extremely terrible but I wouldn't judge all rap for them, any more than I would judge metal just because hair metal was a thing.
