Is Discord's Block function designed to aggravate?
Okay, so on discord, if I block someone, it doesn't stop me from seeing their posts. So they remain annoying. It doesn't prevent them from continuing to say whatever it was that bothered me.

If I become blocked by someone, it doesn't tell me that I've been blocked, it just shakes the screen each time I attempt to reply to that user specifically, tag them, or add emojis reactions to their posts. The screen shaking cannot be disabled as far as I know, and it never informs you that you have been blocked, your just left to assume it's an annoying glitch.

And there's no time limit on being blocked, so I could make one post that was in poor taste, forget about discord for several months, and come back and just have no idea why I can't reply to a certain user. There's no way I can learn from this encounter if I don't even understand what post lead to the block. And they don't even need to respond to a specific post, they can just block based on that list of who's online.

So, as I see it, the only point of the discord block is to aggravate. Like seriously, it's like they want to go to some page, block all the regulars, then make some troll post, which will further irritate them when they realize they can't post their angry response.

Anyone else also aggravated by discord's block function?

Discord's block is awesome. It works as a self censorship/ mute feature. Otherwise it will be weird if on shared servers conversations become disjointed due to posts being selectively absent for some, but not all members in that server.
