Is everything overpriced in Switzerland? (Not only steam games).
It is placed last on steamdb for having the sh*ttiest regional pricing, it's literally like a 25-30% price hike in comparison to USD, GBP & JPY. So if you really hate paying $70 for a game think again, that same game is almost CHF 80 (or about $88) so it ends up costing more over there.

That goes for everything there (besides game prices) apparently subscriptions (such as spotify, netflix, apple music, etc.) are double or tripple the regular price everyone else pays, brands like Lululemon are a rip off in CHF than it is in USD for exactly the same product lineup.

Can you give us some examples of games on Steam that are more expensive compared to their USD price? My understanding on Steams regional pricing is that devs set the price for the game based on what region they choose. Steam then converts the price of the game in other regions, based on the currency conversion from the base currency. I believe there are exceptions to this, but are controlled by the devs

They earn $7500 per month. A single person on welfare gets $2500. Wow.

Different countries have different standards. Higher prices usually also mean higher wages.

This is something, Tucker Carlson tried to gloss over, when he was comparing grocery prices between Russia and America. Yes, bread is a lot cheaper in Russia. But people earn a lot less money in Russia...
I been in Zurich once.
What I remember is that after ordering a beer and seen the price, my first thought was:
I won't be staying long in this country!

Wouldn't that make Zimbabwe the richest country in the world?

75% of the country is montainous rocks, the flat area is a kinda long stretch between France and Germany. The agriculture survives via small subsidies and big tariffs on import to remaing not just "competitive" but alive.

But it is definitively abeautyful country, you should really visit but prepare a budget. On the Swiss peeps : "they hold the glaciers in their heart".

I’m also ignorant. I googled searched and it seems like they make on average 7000 franc a month which translates to 7800 dollars. That’s quite the amount.

That's the thing their salaries are crazy to compensate.
