scifi is good when it maintains reasonable limits. scifi stories featuring entire galaxies and interplanetary travel often feel "too large" in scope, they are being spread thin and everything feels surface level and less developed. scifi stories that take place on one planet, perhaps even one country or city, these are being the best to me. go read stories by isaac asimov
but i prefer fantasy overall because it is usually not having this issue, only developing one world/countries and not really having to worry of "too big scope".
And wait for new ideas and shows
Terminator the TV show was pretty good.
Love Death and Robots, stretching.
Secret Level, stretching.
Fringe
Eureka
Resident Alien
Yea, it is pretty bad if this is your thing.
I noticed you stuck to more techy science fiction, but there are good shows under science fiction that aren't like that...
The Strain
Haven
Walking Dead was massive
What we do in the Shadows
Stuff like that.
And if you can get away from "space", there's modern Doctor Who. I wouldn't recommend the classic one, though.
Also, "superheroes" are essentially SciFi as well, just with a different paintjob, and also based on Earth.
resident alien is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hilarious and i am so beyond happy that it was saved from cancellation. alan tudyk is being one of my favourite actors of all time, he is also great in firefly/serenity (another scifi series) and tucker & dale vs evil.
love death and robots has a lot of "bad" shorts, but that is the beauty of anthology series. you are not really needing to love and watch every short, can just skip the ones you do not like and try the next one.
