Mario brother was in court today
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c0jgw4dv3dgo

They're trying him in three separate cases apparently and the death penalty is something they're going for.

Gang shootings in the streets, rampant drug problems both prescription and illegal, crime in big cities going through the roof, un-affordable healthcare... Nobody bats an eye.

One evil billionaire CEO responsible for denying life-saving medical care with a body-count in the millions, gets "YIPEEE YAHOO WAH HA'd!" in the streets... Everyone loses their freaking minds! :Gachiclown:

quote from the JOKER movie! ha!

the first or second one?
It's good they are going for the death penalty and over charging him. I've seen many cases lost because of wanting too much penalty and overcharging.

What happened to the old fashioned way of tar and feather.
Personally I'd recite bad poetry.

A net positive? He murdered some guy who wasn't even head of the company, and was immediately replaced. At the end of the day all he managed to do was murder someone.
Golly gosh, that is one matter we agree on. Was bond to happen, i guess.

Just make sure its not vogon poetry.
idk if that really makes an example out of the guy for other people. If people have nothing to lose, nothing is going to stop them from doing what they want to do.

If TPTB really wanted to stop this they would get rid of the lobbying, corruption, bribery, and for-profit healthcare, but their system allows them to have immense power, so there's no way they'll reform it, even when someone goes after one of them.

If this becomes a regular occurrence, it will likely spark government overreach and then protests which could turn violent.

if anything, the extreme theatrics they are doing by having small army of polices escort him everywhere, have his hands/feet bound by massive chains everywhere he goes, and a push for penalty of death are all just doing the exact opposite. they are not making an example of him, they are making a martyr out of him. and the fact that he continues looking stoic in his photos in court and such probably terrifies the rich.

Brian Thompson was literally the CEO, that absolutely makes him head of the company. For 20 years he participated in a company that let people die solely for profits, and just like many oligarchs and other greedy elites, he would've never faced prison time nor get punished in any other way nor change for the better. How do you expect the public to react when the justice system has failed to do its job by going after companies like UHC and the people profiting off of the death and suffering of others? Should the American revolutionaries back then just let the British continue to ruin their lives?

He was the CEO of a subsidiary. The parent company is in control of what they do. And the CEO of the parent company isn't even the one fully in control, he's elected by a board of investors to do what the investors want done with the company. Which is why it literally changes nothing.

a very nice list honestly
You could assassinate every single american healthcare ceo (to clarify I do not condone this course of action) and it would accomplish absolutely nothing.

Oh sure a bunch of people would be dead and a bunch of criminals would be sent to prison, but the system will never change.

i mean, it would bring a lot of fear to the people on top
and give everyone else a signal that everyone can bleed, even the upper class

Yes well you are barking up the wrong tree so to speak.

These healthcare CEO's don't operate like they do just because it makes them money. They jump through a certain set of hoops that enables them to continue to do what they do while charging you insanely high premiums for it.

Infact it has been law of the land for well over a decade now.
Is it just me or am I the only one who doesn't seem to care about any of this crap.
