Eh, it's not unsolicited. They basically sent people an email letting them know their Insider membership has been automatically upgraded to Premiere for free for 12 months. You can cancel it after that and go back to Insider if you want. You don't have to do anything on your part. Although if you never had a membership with them to begin with, then this doesn't affect you and you're free to ignore it.
That's like preordering games that has digital download.
The only one that MIGHT be worth it is the A-List, if only because it lets you see I think 3 movies a week or a month for free. But since you're already paying $20 a month, they're not really "free" and if you don't watch that often, it's a waste of money.
Generally speaking, yeah. It should show you as a premiere member when you check your subscription status. I'd contact them if there's any issues, as there's nothing we were supposed to do on our end. At the minimum, you should have received an email letting you know that they're upgrading everyone who was a free member to Premiere.
