Video games doesn't cause violence against people...
It causes violence against monitors and TVs/controllers. Although I've probably never actually threw a controller or destroyed my TV or monitor, I have shaken it really hard when I get frustrated enough. What's your experience like?

Violence is caused by poor mental health, I've only ever broken a controller by overusing it or not on purpose by trying to do KOF13 trials, but never out of anger.

Also think about how much money one has to spend to replace whatever they broke, it's stupid.

A friend told me once that almost started to cross the road (maybe on red sign) and a car just passed by. His thought was if he saved before.
I don't know about shooters. I think somebody might call police if they hear people talking in public transportation how they killed the boss.
People who have problems have problems and things happen independent of games. But those who own guns can tell better how they feel.
