the thing about being a horror film watcher is that genuinely very good underrated horror films usually end up becoming famous and popular, after word spreads, so they do not staying underrated long.

i can think of a few though that are perhaps acknowledged as being good, but not widely spoken of or famous.

- eden lake
- may
- red state (not full horror)
- a girl walks home alone at night
- a page of madness
- wolfs hole
