I've noticed no changes. I'm in a blue state, so I don't really expect much change.
As for "empowerment" of women, it's not a hoax, but there's definitely certain types of people looking to "empower" women in a way that just so happens to line up with the products they are selling.
But there's definitely some women who feel they lack confidence who then feel better about themselves when they go to female empowering workshops. If people feel good at the end of the day, then that's good.

In the 2020's women like Bonnie Blue are gaining empowerment by sleeping with 1,000 men in a day.
