Just as Donald Trump's speech was coming to an end, the Chinese embassy put out a brief and direct post on social media.

Responding to Washington's tariffs - doubling those on imports from to 20% - it wrote: "If war is what the U.S. wants, be it a tariff war, a trade war or any other type of war, we’re ready to fight till the end."

China are ready.

China isnt like Russia, Russia has Ukraine as good foreign farm land, all China neighbor all poor with no good farm land, it doesn't even have a good target for invasion of land.

we should try to focus on lowering food price instead of driving people into war to promote weapon sales.

Also, them being able to export their junk is a huge part of their ability to feed all those mouths. Sure, the US wouldn't be getting new gaming consoles or PCs for a few years while we set up shop elsewhere. But they'd be starving to death pretty fast. And if we really wanted to be ♥♥♥♥♥, we could blockade them to make sure nobody else gave them any either.

That also means they wouldn't be getting the raw materials to sell their ♥♥♥♥ to anybody else either.
