How much physical gold and silver do you own?
Experts say that buying physical gold and silver is a great way to hedge against inflation and if SHTF.

What about yourself?

Only lead.
I watched a documentary on Gilding once.
All of the gold in the world, if packed tightly together, can fit neatly under the Eiffel Tower in totality. Gold simply stretches very well as a metal.
There are A LOT of reasons why it's so sought after.

Silver is more my thing though.
But even then I don't have much of it.
I have I think probably only like $40 worth of purchasing power through silver on the market.
But that's because I don't buy it with the intention to sell it, I buy it with the intention of using it for different purposes.

If I absolutely had to invest into something to make a profit for myself, it would not be in gold or silver, it would not be in money and crypto, it would be in Human Stupidity. Because Human Stupidity, is actually quite higher than what I previously/originally thought. They say there's no such thing as a Guaranteed ROI, but if you invest in Human Stupidity, I can pretty well believe you'll get your ROI.
3 kg gold and 18 kg silver.

I invested in silver because it will soon be depleted
I do but mainly as jewellery. I do have some for emergencies and for international travels.
quite little..

i do collect coins.. (guilders) I did since I was a boy.. and I have most of the silver and gold coins of my nation going back till the 1800s.. and a few older than that.. ofcourse not the crazy rare multi million only 17 made ones..

i must have like a little over 100 of gold 5, andgulden coins as well as a few gold ducats & 1 20 gulder piece

and thousands of silver 5, 10, 25 and 50 coins and 1, 2.5 , 10 and 50 gulder pieces (plus a number of silver groat shilling, sceatta, and other very old 8th to 15th cebtury silver coin

I not care for their metalvalue its the collectersvalue for me..
but it likely adds up to 600 grams of gold and 7 kilo of silver

which means about 45000 euro in gold coins and 7000 in silver coins.
my more valueble coins I do rent a vault at a bank for. not keep thar at home. but I likely still have 2 kilo silver in my home.

i also have some silver candle holders and cultery pieces (inheritance) but not care for monetairy value either i still use them ocationally)

btw if you worry societal colapse.. :
I do like to garden with heirloom seeds.. (aka seeds that still give me new seeds and not have me buy new seed each year)
bags of seeds cost a few cent and will be worth WAY more in a fallen society than silver and gold..
plus gardening makes for a nice hobby.

Nice try, OP. I won’t fall for your tricks. You ain’t gonna get a lick off of me.
I have a collection of rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings made from gold and silver. They do have inflations but there are better ways to invest.
Everyone posting here owns gold, if only in small quantities.

There are thin layers of gold on the chip inside the pc/phone/tablet you're writing this on.
I got something better. Copper wiring! And a whole building filled with it!!!
My floor is buckling with gold silver and diamonds. Every square centimeter of my walls is covered in the most well processed rubies. Painting worth million and billion trillions stretch from floor to ceiling across a hallway a mile long. In my basement, there are crates upon crates upon crates of cash in all possible denominations. Dollar, Euro, Ruble, Yen... compressed with paper press to fit even more so there are trillion bazillion of them down there

Same. I think it's better to buy gold/silver etfs like SLV and GLD.

One advantage of doing this is that you can buy fractional shares. Instead of paying spot prices for gold, you can buy whatever quantity fits your budget.
I have some gold. It's not entirely gold, but I'll just say this:

It weighs tens of thousands of times less than a typical large gold bar, and is worth about 1/177th the value of a large gold bar (the large ingot size, 400oz)

I used to have more.
none, i am broke af :steamsad:
