another thing is i just really hate memes
Once you understand how shallow, simple and stupid the linear narrative perspectives of most people are, being alienated away from that makes the curse of alienation into a blessing, your damnation into your saving grace.
Attend a Convention of said hobby.
Congratulations, you just found people that are just like you.
I think the major issue is how the mainstream part of the internet has become incredibly polarized and you can't just be a person that stands on their own without being a part of a "us" vs "them" group anymore. This is also why I am trying to go back to the more obscure forums and chans and oldschool web as I really hate social media culture and never vibed with it.
I suppose you'll just have to put yourself out there and interact with people and also try to go to the places where you think that people like you hang out.
Education, Hobbies, Spirituality.

Of course you're not going to meet someone like you...
So, you need to look for people that are sort of like you, but different.
Problem solved.
