Did not watch him when they were in their peak. Did not watch them ever.

Only gaming channels I can remember watching were like

Early-mid widescreen era is the best. Early era is alright.

I don't know anything about Mike other than his version of Joker being beyond hysterical and I'd pay to watch it at cinema.

Early-mid widescreen era is the best. Early era is alright.

It's the only thing to keep me entertained while it feels like nothing at all happens... I love watching him make vulgar outbursts at bad video games

It's satire, his content is usually made to for show, and he has trashed on some legitimately good games just to make a video. That's not what I find annoying though. What I find annoying are the swarms of fanboys who aren't smart enough to understand this, then go around ♥♥♥♥ talking those games too because they learned about them from AVGN rather than any kind of first hand experience.

He's been a fixture of the Internet from long before Youtube was a thing. I got in a bit late, and the first works of his I saw was the 3-part Ghostbusters videos.

I've been watching him forever. Even way back when he was on... What was it called? Blip? Back when he was "The Angry Nintendo Nerd". I think he changed the name after getting a C&D from Nintendo. They've always been exceedingly litigious.

While his problems come from his lack of skill... I do find it entertaining. As I've felt the same way, at times. That anger that you just can't get past the level. You can't beat that boss. You can't figure out where you're supposed to go or need to do. Particularly with older games.

He isn't really a game nerd, though. He's a film nerd, and a game collector.
