Disney keeps cranking out live-action remakes. Because they think spending $100 million on a remake makes sense. Rather than spending $50 million on a new, traditionally animated IP.

I don't mind "woke" when it's done correctly. But Disney is incapable of that. It's NEVER subtle! It's ALWAYS overt.

I'm completely indifferent to that stuck-up, spoiled brat. It's her handlers that I hate with a burning passion. Zegler, she's just a useful idiot.

They always wind up first in line to the gulags, so there's no point in wasting any energy expressing anything over them. After all, they're weak. Apathy for the weak is strength and hatred is a gift best given to those truly deserving of it.

So pretty much it's the people calling the shots at Disney and thus causing that Constitution-hating schmuck Walt to spin in his grave much-deservedly that I hate. Because on one hand he is the primary architect of why copyright law in the United States is not just broken but unconstitutional at this point.

On the other hand, the very people he testified against in Congress are in charge of his company. But him hating reds is like Pol Pot knowing when to conserve ammo in that it's the one good thing I can say about an otherwise reprehensible human being who deserves naught but contempt.

Most people quit watching Disney for a while now because they simply lost touch with what made it popular decades ago.

Buying Star wars, and Aliens & predator? how can that stuff even be crammed into Disney's original material?
If anything, the quality of everything they've bought up so far is bogging down as well.

Disney lost touch with their audience. People aren't watching Star Wars to see another girlboss narrative.

It's not about the current audience though, it's about the one to come. The modern audience that they want to get set up, who will know nothing but the slop they and their contemporaries across multiple entertainment mediums, including gaming, push out. They are willing to forego short-term profit for long-term ideological gain so long as they can outlast their critics and lay the framework for a generation of children who will grow up consuming naught but the DEI, BRIDGE, SHRM ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that anyone with any modicum of sanity understands is complete garbage.

Look for them to replace terms like equity and diversity with belonging and inclusion so they can lull their critics into a false sense of security. Don't rest on your laurels, we've not ♥♥♥♥♥♥' won until each and every single one of these communist ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is out of not just entertainment but society writ large.

I wouldn't even see it if the actress was from the right areas in Europe, live action remakes generally are not great even when they try to make a decent adaptation. Just seeing the original dwarfs (most were not even dwarfs) was enough to me they had no intention to imitate the classic cartoon, but push other agendas.
