Cartoons are better now than they were in the 80s

They all were vapid and soulless back then, they just had a random monster of the week and the characters were all bland stereotypes, I'm sure He-Man and She-Ra and the others were great back then but by now they have aged

In my opinion, the first "Modern" Cartoon was Batman the Animated Series, even though it was 90s, but since then we've gotten Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, Avatar The Last Airbender, Samurai Jack, The Owl House, Phineas and Ferb, Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated, Amphibia, Gravity Falls, Batman Beyond, Teen Titans, Star Wars The Clone Wars, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Futurama, Danny Phantom, Primal, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Animaniacs, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Dexters' Lab, The Powerpuff Girls, Amphibia, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Young Justice, Over The Garden Wall, Infinity Train, Red vs. Blue, My Life As A Teenage Robot, Invader Zim, Spongebob, The Fairly Oddparents, Clone High, Clerks, Freakazoid, The Critic, King of the Hill, The Looney Tunes Show, Darla, The Venture Bros, and Ren and Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life


I just think that shows from the 90s on were way better than shows from the 60s to 80s.

my prediction it is future fun anime and cartoon going to be maked by AI on youtube, sorry but currently people on youtube use AI to made better show than disney, hollywood and sony

As much as I love Batman: The Animated Series, if we're going to argue that the modern era starts in the 1990s though, we'd have to give credit to The Simpsons. Technically the pilot episode of the Simpsons aired in 89, but c'mon folks, that was just one episode and it aired on christmas. Otherwise shade is also being thrown on Ramna ½, Urusei Yatsura, original Dragon Ball and Fist of the North Star too.

Kinda hard since its been a long time since I've watched any modern anime in a long time, but isn't Spy x Family, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End and Dungeon Meshi popular?

Also Kaguya-Sama: Love is War is technically a 2010s anime, but only just scarcely, having run from 2018 to 2022.

I got the impression that we're not really supposed to be discussing anime though since there are none mentioned in the original post.

I'd count by the air date of the first season when crediting specific years and decades with specific cartoons.

I wouldn't really say it's "still" running. Its been on and off with multiple cancellations. Considering that you might consider it a show with multiple sequel series running under the same name. Kinda wise since you'd probably just have people saying Futurama 2: Robotic Boogaloo, isn't as good as Futurama and complain about how Fry is kinda stupid and selfish if they made distinctly titled sequels.

I see they walked back denying global warming before etc. I used to like that show also, pretty sad folks. Sad when folks like the South Park creators pretend that they have a clue when they're essentially just marketing a bunch of right-wing frat brat humor. Oh and it's funny to hear that fans don't actually identify with Cartman etc. and you're supposed to have me believe that you are only laughing "at" it and don't actually identify with it. Also, I hear about the jokes they have on more recent episodes and it sounds like a joke in and of itself. "Haha Trump campaigning, funny". Huh? Yeah, MAGA CHUDs love that show also, so do right leaning college kids and below that age who find it suitably edgy in their taste like the cool kids talked about back in the "bad ol days".
