Why don't western developers make East Asian like Gacha games?
IMO EA Sports FC, Warframe can be technically be considered gachas, what I mean making gachas that are like the gachas made in China, Korea or Japan.

Why would you want that it’s effectively a casino with no returns

ubisoft and ea (companies that love nothing but money) are either too dumb to realize or they have accepted that east asia will always dominate the gacha gaming industry leaving them unable to compete and also the high demands from gacha players themselves

Isn't that basically what all those Zynga games were?

Why do you want more of that though? It’s a predatory monatization structure that leads to worse quality games.

They were too busy chasing trends and developing 200 million dollar games, which meant they were chasing trends from 10 years ago.

They may try gacha after failing to make the next fortnite/overwatch/destiny for the millionth time.

Like a loot box but with hi-res anime babes inside.

zenless, genshin took 100 million dollars make and they didnt have that many bugs from day 1 and they used ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unity, but imagine a western one... Oh god no 350 million to make, abhorrent perfomance, extremely high computer req., a lot of bugs and bad lore written by some 30 year old the owl house fan.

100% that game would have a cal arts artstyle not a anime one

Thats another issue with western companies. No job security (they fire their devs after finishing games) leads to lack of talent, leadership and low morale, which leads to messy development cycles => exactly what you said.

Tacit agreement to split the market for the sake of delineating strategic loss recuperation sectors for defense and attack.

Because gacha require constant work, new content, bugfixes, performance improvements and such.

Why bother when you can just release sliced and diced half baked garbage for 80 bucks with over $400 of dlc (that should be in the base game) and and people will gladly buy it and ask for more. Or they can just make woke trash to get ESG money :selphinehappy:
