What age is Insidious appropriate for?
I am 15 and am interested in watching the first Insidious movie? What age would it be appropriate for? Does Insidious have any demon stuff in it. I need help convincing my 23 year old sister to let me watch it?

If your parents or guardian want to ignore the movie's rating, that's up to them. Asking on the internet is just you looking for someone to tell you what you want to hear.

It's up to your parents or guardian.

I think as far as horror movies are concerned Insidious is pretty tame, but has jump scares and images that may give you nightmares.

It's rated PG-13. So I don't think a movie theater would even stop you from watching it if it were a recent movie.

It does have demons and it talks about things related to death. It's a work of fiction.

PG-13 is a content rating that means "Parental Guidance: Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13". It's used in the United States by the Motion Picture Association film rating system and in other countries, including: Singapore, Jamaica, United Arab Emirates, and Thailand.

The movie is also very tense. Time plays a huge role.

Imagine your soul left your body so you can save your son from the devil. But if you take too long other souls will come by and take over your body. Yeah… very tense.
