People in poverty still wanting kids
In my opinion, people in poverty should not birth children if they can’t support them. These children have to carry the burden of their parents financial state. Most of these children end up with no education, and spend most of their time in their day on the street asking for money when these kids should be using this time to study. Yet these people are still selfish enough to birth multiple children while giving them little to no support, putting them in the position to live a low quality life. :steamhappy:

Edit: I am not trying to make kids disappear. I am simply stating my opinion. And that people in povert might want to give thought to their choices to rethink their decision wether to give birth or not. Awareness is key.

They didn't ask to be raised by their parents who are legally required to. You shouldn't bring someone into the world assuming they owe you and will be obligated to care for you.

Wait. So people are supposed to raise children and risk them being ungrateful selfish :repoop: afterwards?
Suddenly abortion seems like better choice.
Usually there are options prior to abortion and it's debatable about if putting someone unwanted into the hands of the State is better for them then not existing but you are just as selfish as they are if you tell them during their formative years that you love them unconditionally but are lying and do have conditions.
Poorer people in general are:

- More conservative - i.e. adherence to older and traditional norms, often including marriage and emphasis on family life.
- Social norms: often grew up with large family so this is already seen as normal.
- Less educated - may not know how to prevent pregnancy.
- No access to contraception due to no income, and/or it may be seen as not socially acceptable - i.e. stimulating "sex for fun" and similar arguments.

Money is not everything, and poorer families may still have a decent life, albeit with the bare minimum. People in the developed world are way too spoiled - too much emphasis in consumerism and waste.

Imagine the amount of pollution dumped on Earth when Africa and its 2-3+ billion people in the next few decades develop into developed world standards.

The welfare state is eugnics of the wrong kind too.
It's an old tradition to have kids when you're poor because they can do chores and help out around the farm.

I agree with OP, 100%. I don't want or can support kids therefore i won't have any as i feel now. This may change. I suppose many ppl being supposedly poorer than me expect their kids to support them in old age.

Are they wrong too? They put in 18+ years of wealth into them, in the prime of their life. More if they let them stay home until 20-30 and paid for the college.

If a person retires at 68, and dies at 83. They means they wanted you taking care of them for 15 years? If a person lives longer than that, yeah it starts being a more one sided deal. But a lotta people never reach 90.

The children idn't have any choice, it is the parents who choose in their place, so the sons don't owe anything to the parents, it's only the parents who have obligations. This is not even the bare minimum considering the extremely big (and morally unacceptable) responsibility parents decided to take giving birth Parents should never expecxt anything from their kids and be ready to sacrifice anything for them, and this is not even enough for them to be good parents. After one gives birth they cannot be good parents anymore: they have done somethiung too irresponsible to be considered a good parent.

Yes, exactly, IMAGINE... this is literally impossible if they do not completely change their lifestyle and if they keep giving birth as much as they are doing now, they will never have even the slightest chance to improve their conditions, the world would implode before it could happen and not even because of pollution, simply because all those people would literally swallow every resource on the planet without even being able to achieve anything with those resources simply because they would always be too many no matter how many resoues they could get.
