2. cant pause
3. can't be comfortable.
4. everything is expensive.
why would i want to put myself thru the abuse of another mans prices and rules?
Thanks to Biden many theaters and other businesses closed.
about Discs breaking, or getting lost...
But cheaper & simpler doesn't always lead to less stressful,
i've seen how Streaming Services are always changing the
Menu, changing the Colors, always having Internet problems,
& the Content Provided 90% of it isn't American, & the other
10% of it is stuff I already have on DVD's / BluRays anyways...
Heck, even the American stuff hasn't been American in a good
long while now... I can't even remember the last time i've seen
New York, Chicago, Wisconsin, or even New Orleans in a Movie...
In all the crazyness? Yes, I paid a little too much over DVD's / BluRay's,
but unlike People paying about $15 a month per Streaming, possibly
even $45 a month, & they don't even own anything they watch?
I think my DVD's / BluRay's provide me with Free TV right now,
I can watch anything I want, & not pay anything, as a matter of
fact I can even pay $5 to $10 anytime I want something New to
watch, not monthly, no, a 1 time Fee...
You might call me crazy, but then again, i'm not the one paying
about $45 monthly for things I don't even own...
That is about $450 every Year that your paying for,
that I don't have to pay, & my Content always works,
because I don't need Internet, & I keep my stuff clean...
Now, People can do what they want, they could support Streaming all they want,
Streaming is mostly for all the People who don't already have DVD's & BluRay's,
but i'm sticking to my DVD's & BluRay's & Physical Media, & best part is that I
don't have to worry about any of my Content being Regional Changed to support
some stupid Ideology that I don't Support, that is one of the key things to remember...
people that dont own physical media are doomed to learn what happens when all the services they use stop working.
The movies are garbage, the prices are garbage, the experience is garbage, the people behind it are garbage, let it burn.
Biden has nothing to do with it. It's the Trump tax cuts plus the CEOs of the major movie chains reaping profits from this and not passing it down to the consumer level. Trickle down economics does not seem to work here.
They were forced to close down for over 2 years and still had to pay bills.... they went bankrupt.
Let's go Brandon!
That makes sense. Besides streaming services were really taking off at the time and dvds & bluerays were falling in price maybe.... do ya think?
Biden 2024
Since we are unable to agree on the guilt of the Biden Administration in regards to the topic of this thread then we have little more to discuss.
Good Bye
I always preferred watching movies at home.
excelent movie..
never went to cinema for years.. than went to see star trek.. a terrible movie
and it cost me bloody 15 euro for a ticket.
movies have gotten much worse.. yet ticket prices have gone up.. 7 times?
even corrected for inflation :
5 guilders with added inflation should be 3.95 euro today
prices are 4 times higher than they should...
while movies are 4 times worse...
how come that 120 million for titanic was a MASSIVE budget.. for the era.. and it allowed halve a boat to be build real scale all real props.. and an overall good movie..
many other 90s movies were made for budgets 30-60 million and were mUCH better
today even the crapppiest movie somehow has a 300 million budet.. and even 700 million budgets are not rare anymore..
but they use crappy screenscreens instead of good old props (that are more labour intensive) and handrawn pictures.. sjould that not REDUCE costs.. and if not.. why use greenscreens and animation to start with.. it makes for worse movies.. and if it aint making production cheaper...
and somehow storywriting.. has gotten much worse too..
heck one of the best movies I've seen that came out last 10 years was a indi.. it only had a 60k budget.. technology has advanced that you can make movies that cheap that look as good as 30 million movies in the 90s.
something like axenar.. made for a couple 100k looks way better than anything made for hundreds..
