pedophilia is a 30 year old touching a 12year old. that is pedophilia clean and simple.
Thank you finally making it clear on what your opinion is regarding the specific age limit when something is considered pedophilia (younger than 13) and when it is NOT considered pedophilia (older than 12) .

the 30 and 12 year-old was an example to emphasize the great difference in age and of course the fact that one is an adult (wholly and legally) and the other is a minor. don't assume that i meant fixed 12 year olds or 13 year olds and what not. just an example of it. but sure let's go.

yes a 16 year old is a kid to me. if she somehow tricked her 22 year old boyfriend into believing she was over 21 then it's self-explanatory, she tricked him, although i would be skeptical as to how she did that or of the IQ of the 22 year old but still i would criticize him harshly for having relations with a 16 year old in the first place.

if he should be punished or not is not something up to me to decide because i am not a judge and i do not enforce the law in any shape, way or form. if your question asks me if he should receive the same sentence with a 50 year old who touches a 10 year old (again, an example, not fixed legal points in my thought) then i think it should go to a trial and have both him and her tell their side of the story. he would still be criticized for having relations with a 16 year old in the first place.

by this definition i do not find it logical to be punished for rape, specially if the other individual gave their consent. but i would still be skeptical as to how she managed to accomplish such a feat (to trick him) and why on earth he had anything to do with a 16 year old in the first place himself.

i define both as kids that probably wanna explore their natures with one another. in that sense the boy could seduce the girl and vice versa or there could be no seduce at all in the first place. the logical assumption that there is seduction in the first place leaves the mutual attraction outside of the picture. which in plain words it could be possible to have both be attracted to one another. still wouldn't consider that pedophilia as both individuals are below 18 years of age technically.

in that sense i consider pedophilia the act of any person who is e.g. 20-25-30-35-40-45-50 and dares to touch another individual who is below 18 and much below it as well in many cases of it that make the news, as in 17, 16, 15, 14 and even lower than that. i just preferred to skip all of that and go direct to the final part of my statement.

Statutory ra-pe has NOTHING to do with force. Ra-pe has everything to do with force. There is a BIG difference.

ah now this is new to me. i was not aware of what actually statutory is and stands for.
in that case if the law simply says "stay away from minors even if they are of legal age" and the adult goes for it anyway, eh they had it coming then. i say adult because it could be the opposite as well, a 22 year old woman going for a 16 year old boy in this case. wouldn't the law apply to this case as well?
tbh if i was in your shoes and my sister did all of that, even though i don't have any siblings i would still criticize her but i would be harsher to the guy. not out of some big brother complex it could plague me but because in my eyes it would just seem wrong, i would tell him "even if you did bother to check for ID, couldn't you just cross-check if she says the truth or not? you took for granted what she told you? dude you should know better you're 22 years old."
Society is suppose to reach the middle ground that benefits the family and society the most. But atm society is most concerned with punishing men.

No because the statutory ra-pe laws specifically states to protect young women.
If a 22 year old woman has sex with a 16 year old young man then he is considered over the legal age of sexual consent.
In fact most men would congratulate him on finding a "real women" that can bring more "fun" into a relationship than a school girl his own age.
My own father was proud of me for having some fun with a 35 year old single woman who paid me for doing yard work every weekend. I was 15 years old at the time and she gave me a real "education" on how to please a Woman.
He was not feeling the same way towards my 16 year old little sister's 22 year old boyfriend. My parents had him arrested for statutory ra-pe and contributing to the delinquency of a minor because she got him to take her to her favorite night clubs. She was the "adult" in that relationship but my fathers Lawyer made sure my little sister was seen as the innocent victim. He spent a lot of time in jail and was sent to 5 years of real prison after his conviction. My little sister hated our father for a long time because she was "in love"
hmm. then in my book this consists of inequality. the law should protect the minor.
in this case your 35 year old woman should have faced the law as well, you were underage at the time.
this would happen here in Greece. the law looks both ways and say that even if i am designed to protect young women i must also consider the young men as well, because just like a 35 year old dude could go for a 15 year old girl, a 35 year old woman could go for a 15 year old boy as well.
and even if i am not a father myself i would probably have some hard time to accept that my 15 year old son is dealing with a 35 year old woman. i would go harsh against her and not my son. same thing i would do with a 35 year old man who would dare touch my daughter at 15, if i had one. and rest assured i would go harsh against him as well.
to me what is important is the protection of the minor, and the law should focus on that, regardless of man/woman, boy/girl. protection of the minor is the first priority.
