It's more fanciful nonsense like telephathy, mind reading, mediums etc. There is no basis for it being real, no concrete evidence and most people who claim they have these powers, usually have a mental health condition.
Being open minded does not mean you get to remotely believe anything that has no substance or proof, or anything of substance to back it off; and/or against facts that are already known to be true.
Then it's also easy to argue for this to relate to dark matter and energy, as exotic (negative) form, or alternatively as 3rd form in addition to mass and energy, related to black and white (or w/e) holes. As the cosmological constant, that is dark energy, merely serves a function akin to the speed of light in Einstein's famous equation, right?
(As, in order to integrate the dark form of matter next to mass and energy, you could use the cosmological constant akin to the speed of light, and add a 5th dimension. Just as hypothetical example. Dark energy exists in order to integrate dark matter, after all. Or vice versa. But you could surely make various arguments from there on out.)
The question is merely how far you can take and apply this. But if psychics exist, they certainly have nothing to do with astrology and tarot card reading. Instead, they are highly advanced species'. And as to whether they can "see" the future...?
As per the uncertainty principle, you first have to observe an object, for else you cannot know its state. And if this, too, is a subjective illusion, then the reading of minds might be literally impossible on a fundamental physical level.
Because, and I like using the chess analogy, when Bob plans the move of his knight (a particle in his brain responsible for moving his body)... then you cannot know the state of the knight for as long as it is unobserved and Bob plans the movement thereof. Instead, you must guess based on a probability cloud of where it /could/ be, based on factors such as momentum. (To you, it appears as waveform. It's where Schrodinger's Cat and the idea of "quantum immortality" comes from.)
Humans aren't binary robots. You cannot look into the brain in such a way. And it's very realistically impossible to enslave the mind of person the way you can enslave a computer. But you can make the case that Bob moving his hand already involves psychic powers to some degree. Related to the uncertainty principle. Or the body being a dimensional illusion.
Whereas "telepathy" for me is just based on the idea of "quantum internet." In that it would be begging the question of why you want to connect your own brain with another brain by means of classical mechanics, installing internet chips or whatever. As you would appear to be downgrading yourself. (But that's kind of speculative, huh.)
Etc...
Haven't you ever felt like somebody is watching you, only to turn around and find somebody is watching you? Have you ever walked into a room where two people have been arguing and you can feel the stillness in the air, the tension? Have you ever witnessed something that made the hair on the back of your neck stand up?
In my opinion, all of these things stem from a latent "telepathic" ability. Maybe "empathetic" is a better word for it though.
In various ancient traditions they make reference to a "lifeforce energy", some call it prana, or ki, but the important thing is all living creatures have it. Even animals. I believe that being in tune with this energy gives you a heightened sense of things. Like how animals can sense fear.
" I dreamt the other night that I was walking on the street with another person when we got attacked. The person who attacked us was short and solid and wore a grey jumper with a dark brown beenie, and there was a few people around but I only really focused on him. There was a quick scuffle but then I was afraid for my life so I just reached out and grabbed his head and twisted it until I snapped his neck.
I didn't want to really hurt him but it was the only way to save us so I just did it kinda softly until I heard and felt it actually snap. It was pretty gross and it made me cringe because I could feel it kinda pop. Anyway after I snapped it I just held him up and looked at his face which went all blue and he had his tongue sticking out just a little.. so I knew he was dead. It was a weird dream because I didn't actually want to hurt him but it was all I could do, so I did it as gently as I could.
And after I snapped it I kinda just felt sorry for him. He wasn't english looking either.. he looked kinda indian and I remember thinking he looked a bit like a fisherman because of how he was dressed. Anyway I mainly remembered this dream because I read something today which reminded me of it again.. Which I thought was trippy timing considering I don't do that very often in dreams. "
So I dream't this then found this news story below soon after. It felt like I was only in the dream to help with the kill(or something like that).

maybe, idk, depends
idk even how that is possible, if you have never seen the man you attacked before you even saw the news that is pretty creepy ngl, especially since when you have dreams your brain uses people's faces you know as people, so that's strange and creepy. tell me if i'm wrong tho
It was an odd one and I don't fully understand why. I always wished I could've found out what the criminal was wearing in real life as I had a good description of him.
