Madden on PC

I can't be the only one who is sick of playing the outdated Madden 08. Does EA really have any good reason to not port the game to PC? Or is there really not that much of an interest from PC gamers? I'm only bringing this up becase they just announce Madden 15 and once again... no PC version for the 7th year in a row.

Talk about bringing a thread back from the dead haha. But yeah for sure. I'm still patiently awaiting a port along with many other people. FIFA still manages to do well on PC, I dont see why Madden wouldn't.

Madden (and any other football game) just feels right when it's played with a controller. EA also signed a contract with Microsoft probably forcing them not to release any on Origin.

I use an xbox controller for pretty much every PC game I own except shooters.

Still playing 2008 on PC... Maybe with all the consoles using AMD apu's it would be easier to port over to PC? We have steam machines coming out this month, more homes will have gaming pc's then any other time in the last 10 years. It's time EA...

I have no idea how you play that mess on PC. One of the worst versions of a game I have ever had the misfortune of playing. Controls don't map properly with controllers, no 16:9 resolutions, every mod makes the game crash.

EA just needs to realize that the times have changed since 2007 and they would actually profit from a PC port.

I used to think that the reason they didn't do Madden, Rugby and NHL on PC was because of mods. I mean the main upsate each year is rosters and usually only minor gameplay changes each time, why would PC gamers pay for that every year when they could just download fan made roster updates whenever they wanted (I know i've been doing that for Rugby08 for years).

But having seen continued releases for FIFA I'm left confused about why the rules seem to be different.

Im pretty sure people already create custom rosters that are free to download THROUGH their service anyway, so I don't think modding is the main issue. I think pirating is their concern and it always will be.
