I just got an NVIDIA shield, was I wrong to get it

Can it only play a PC gsme right next to the PC, because I thought it downloaded the game. Was this %@#& a waste of money?

You didn't read the description before you bought it? Seems to me that it says all over the page how it streams games from your PC via WiFi or Internet

It will only download and play Android games locally. Everything from PC is streamed, so it would need a solid, stable Internet connection.

Depending on where you bought it, you might be able to return it for a refund if you don't want it and still have all the bits together.

If you have a good mobile connection you could possibly just tether it to your phone using wifi hotspot feature if your phone/mobile device supports it, though the ping may be too high and laggy. I guess try and play around with some scenarios before you decide to get rid of it. Also unless you haven't opened it I doubt you'll get the $200 you seek for it.
