Mostly though, I miss all of the stop motion and hand drawn movies.
in today's cartoons and movies, you don't see people on the moon with paper bags on their heads for breathing.

Meh i kinda considered that but even today when i watch oldies, like just last week they were showing the incredibes and toy story 2 i forgot what channels, and i still loved them
Well, that's because the audience from that time had different expectations and standards. Right now there is a new audience to please, the people making those have to earn their living, so they have to do things "by popular demand". There is no pleasing everybody, and since profit is one of the goals, they are trying to appeal to the majority whose standards are easier to meet. Of course, I hope there will be one of them surpassing those every once in a while.
The last good animated movie was probably The Secret of NIMH. I can't remember anything good coming out after that.

I've enjoyed 98% of newer animated movies, the only one I had to stop watching because I felt my brain cells dying was Rango - not saying it was a bad movie, but it just didn't agree with me at all >_>
I liked Rango, that whole movie feels like a parody of quentin tarantino's movies.
Jeez im not that old lol, im just talking about the better of the decade not really that far back, although i did really enjoy The Iron Giant and Chicken Run when i was small.
