Riddle help

Here is the riddle: One man was buying apples for 5$ and selling them for 3$. Soon he became a millionaire. How is it possible? And the hint is he was rich before he did not already have all the money, Also here is a bonus riddle: We hurt without moving.
We poison without touching.
We bear the truth and the lies.
We are not to be judged by our size.
What Am I?

"He was rich before he did not already have all the money." This doesn't make sense, your hint is invalid and therefore the entire riddle is invalid.

Hey this isnt my riddle thats why i need help i may have worded it wrong im sorry lemme try to fix that This is the exact line he gave me: That man wasn't poor before he started buying and selling apples; in fact, he was rich.

Well then, it's obvious. He was rich before he started losing profit on apples. He had money to lose. He started with millions and he ended with millions.
