The current generation of consoles are glorified PCs running custom software and using hardware that will eventually filter down into the consumer market and end up within your PCs at a highly reduced price.

lol at all the PC vs console threads that ever existed on this silly forum...
When people make these threads, which specific PC hardware are you comparing consoles to? Because console graphics performance has always been comparable to PC graphics. The real question is; Which hardware, which graphics settings, and which resolution?
With PC, there are low, medium, high, and maximum graphic settings.
Those that have said the 4th gen consoles were better than PC, were either advertising ♥♥♥♥♥♥, or, they were comparing it to their older (or current) PC.
And lets not forget that thing called the gpu. The same hardware makers, sellers, that make stuff for PC.
Consoles will never catch up.
