Why those from the USA feel more friendly with UK than France?
France gave you independence.

France helped you to expand to the west against the Mexican empire.

The British were those who made you pick cotton and killed you to avoid your independence.

Yet a lot of people who live in the USA seem to like the UK more than France, while hating France instead.

Can someone explain?

No that's not true... you can't give that all to the French.. nice try though, time to learn History.

The French gave soldiers, supplies, ships, weapons, and officers to the USA during the Revolutionary War.

More importantly, the French were at war with Great Britain elsewhere, meaning Britain had to divide its military and send troops to multiple fronts.

This gave the USA the opportunity to fight only a small portion of Britain's true military power, and with a strong ally.

If the war was 1v1 then the USA would have been crushed.

You know France didn't help America out for no reason, they were still upset over the 7 year war, Besides the only country France likes to fight more than Britain is Germany.

Oh you are one of those, yes so are you, welcome to the club.

Have you ever tried to shoot flying fish in a barrel? I've heard stories about how that can go.
Have you ever lived in a time where your opinions and useless thoughts were not allowed to be so full of themselves?

What does something that happened in the 18th or 19th century would even matter for the ppl in the 21th century?
Nobody cares ,that is just past times and nobody will even waste a single second of their time thinking about France helping for independence 3 centuries ago... :steambored:

As for the question itself, I do not see americans hating french so... :steambored:

How can my thoughts be full of anything but myself?

How can I live in a time where that is not true?

When you have no freedom of thought, you would possibly be more logically productive in Korea than wherever you are now.

That's entirely possible, but unfortunately my preconceived notions state otherwise.

I suppose a stateless state would be nice, for a moment.

That's how it SHOULD be. Sadly people in fact do get angry over wars that happened centuries go, and blame people today for things they didn't do.

there's no data to come to any conclusion. it's all anecdotal evidence, stereotyping and confirmation bias with no proper analysis.

Like i mentioned before, just enjoy your thread. :)
The thread is meant to be fun, of course I'm enjoying it.
i can't find the fun in making gross generalizations. but i guess that's just me. :BL3Shrug:

Cases of ideological dogmatism can result in thoughts that are not fully your own. In other words, people in cults, religious or otherwise, have thoughts that do not arise from them specifically.

As any time period may give rise to these kinds of groups, one can argue that in every time (all time) there is a possibility that your thoughts are full of anything but you.

here's a question for you... why do the french do things just to be different?

like... "ohhonhon! we will develop our own machine gun that is not compatible with anyone else's and only works in a vaccum because it was designed on a bagette honhon!"

If you say so.

It clearly states two different things from two reputable sources so keep saying you know better.
