Why those from the USA feel more friendly with UK than France?
France gave you independence.

France helped you to expand to the west against the Mexican empire.

The British were those who made you pick cotton and killed you to avoid your independence.

Yet a lot of people who live in the USA seem to like the UK more than France, while hating France instead.

Can someone explain?

Sure.

What's your sample? When you write "a lot of people," how many people is that exactly?

Your other phrase, "seem to like" is also problematic as it seems as though you are uncertain of their ardor one way or another?

Please clarify.
Hey mate, I'm not gonna start a referendum in the USA to give you correct data.

Yes, but the Frenchs died for you and gave you a lot of money back in the days. They defeated the British when they were at their pick, that wasn't cheap. You wouldn't even exist as a country. All of this because they are rude?

Don't you think that debt was repaid in WW2, when France gave up and had to be liberated by the English and Americans?

Without us, France wouldn't even exist as a country. And that wasn't cheap.

It doesn't help that the French not only decided to try to conquer Europe, which was bad for trade, they also invaded Mexico in 1862, which caused more than a few politicians to express their distaste on the situation and not wanting another colonial power on their borders.

Really it comes more down to common language and similar political philosophies between England and her former colonies. Even during the revolution, many Brits supported American independence, mostly because of the political differences between them and George III.
I just got told by a New Zelander today, the following:

"You guys scalped all the native culture (my ancestors), revolutionised out your European cultural ancestries (also my ancestors) and anyone you imported into the country afterwards you culturally mindwiped."

I don't know where this "More friendly" nonsense is coming from. The only thing that bridges Americans closer to the UK is speaking the same language. A lot of Americans don't know a second language as it is not mandatory. I think it should be.
no one likes the french... even the french don't like the french.... just look at all the protests... it's like lebanon over there ffs.

Mate, if you don't know how to answer or don't want to, nobody is forcing you. Some do like Frenchs over the British, some do not, but I see more hostility towards the Frenchs. And I cannot explain why. You been also allied in both WW1 and WW2. Don't tell me this is all about tourism.

Overall, the french are notoriously ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, even to other french.

Did you not know that?
why is it every few months there's a thread about why people dislike the french, and every time people give totally legitimate reasons like being denied the right to learn spanish because one didn't learn french...

but still the french continue to wonder why?!

They always act nice to me, even when I speak in English with them.
Our leaders play snuggle-butt with the royal family.

Except for Joe Biden, who just ♥♥♥♥ his pants.
