If a computer that could only do word processing was a thing, you'd be right.
Typewriters notwithstanding, I think word processing-only computers were around in the '70s. I certainly remember the short-lived ones marketed to housewives that were designed specifically for mounting in the kitchen and storing and displaying recipes.
