I never really watched MTV, but stuff that looks very fluid and colorful while somewhat fitting a theme can be ascribed to a lot of stuff.
liquid television ^^^^

off the air (one of the / my fave colors) ^^^^^
basically ♥♥♥♥ you'd see on those LED flat screens in walmart that show how bright and colorful they can display (ironically off the air color has one with the exploding colors on buildings).
and what i meant by they usually use it on shows and movies are like follows:

in rick and morty for like 1 scene
edit: Just realized one of the liquid television bits was in colors and never noticed it.
Yeah Robot chicken i guess would be liquid television since they use stop motion animations.
but what i meant was it's also considered liquid television.
to add to the list:
-mr men
it's technically a kids show but it's colorful and shapey enough to count. Inside out the show before inside out was made. Disney is a bunch of copy cats at this point lol.
-AEON flux
-cartoon sushi
-oh yeah! cartoons
-eye drops
-sunday pants
-good vibes
-celebrity deathmatch (Someone posted this already)
-trip tank
-the shivering truth (forgot about this one)
-super jail (also forgot this one existed tf is wrong with me today?)
We used to go to something "like" it at a movie theater in Boston, annually, called "Spike and Mike's Festival of Sick and Twisted Animation". Everyone in the theater was on something. It was fun, but some of the animations I remember made me want to leave, they were so wrong.
But that's edgy, and part and parcel of what the festival was about was edginess.
