Liquid Television. Anything similar?

Been Binging alot of liquid television (you know the ones from MTV in the 80's / 90's) and Off the air (from adult swim that's a compilation of other videos with transitional effects).

Anyone know any shows or videos or series like them. Stuff that looks very fluid and colorful that somewhat fits a theme. I know from occasion other shows do similar things (but only in one movie scene or episode usually when drugs or hallucinations are involved).

What exactly is "liquid television"?

I never really watched MTV, but stuff that looks very fluid and colorful while somewhat fitting a theme can be ascribed to a lot of stuff.

basically ♥♥♥♥ you'd see on those LED flat screens in walmart that show how bright and colorful they can display (ironically off the air color has one with the exploding colors on buildings).

trying to find an example in movies but can't atm. I think the best would be sin city but that's not a good / best example.

I can't think of any short skit animation compilation shows, but outside of that the only one that comes to mind is Robot Chicken. Ed the Flower was a bada**, Dangwood was crazy, and Liquid Television was what originally started the Aeon Flux franchise.

Good times... MTV Oddities wasn't bad either.

Yeah Robot chicken i guess would be liquid television since they use stop motion animations.

MadTV was on Fox, back when tv shows were still broadcast instead of only on cable. Still great, but not as great as In Living Color.

right it was on several stations

but what i meant was it's also considered liquid television.

it's technically a kids show but it's colorful and shapey enough to count. Inside out the show before inside out was made. Disney is a bunch of copy cats at this point lol.

We used to go to something "like" it at a movie theater in Boston, annually, called "Spike and Mike's Festival of Sick and Twisted Animation". Everyone in the theater was on something. It was fun, but some of the animations I remember made me want to leave, they were so wrong.

The one that made me want to get up and leave was very sacrilegious, and very disgusting.

But that's edgy, and part and parcel of what the festival was about was edginess.
