the strongest may be an idiot, looking at you jojo and many more

yelling for no reason, not when they are angry but just yelling

brain dead clueless when a monster is right there but thinking its a harmless pet
that was a cat but its true form is a dog. looking at you, magic knights rayearth

plot armor

friendship is magic, oh the villains have friends? tough ♥♥♥♥, you dont get that benefit. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

powers, level ups and transformations NOT EARNED BUT GIVEN BECAUSE GOTTA MAKE IT BABY MODE FOR A MAGICAL GIRL ANIME

false transformations, i didnt see her sword change at all, instead it grew two more inches. lame

when a character or thing exists that can do everything but stop the enemy........

characters speaking in riddles

having no reaction, ♥♥♥♥ and late to super late

recaps and recaps in every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ episode

flash backs, flashbacks in flashbacks and filler

99% of anime sucks these days there have been maybe only 3 modern day animes that I've enjoyed, it mostly comes down to this:
-Needless fanservice episodes/moments, sure we can get fanservice from time to time but if the entire anime is just boobs and butts then yeah, no.
-Annoying characters that a lot of people like for some reason, my examples are Chika Fujiwara and Kanna Kamui.
-Dumb plot, guy getting sent to a girls-only school etc.
-Every show has filler episodes but anime is where it happens the most.
-Obnoxious fandom, say one bad thing about their "waifu" who looks 5 y.o but is actually 65406045 in dog years or some ♥♥♥♥ I don't care and they'll come to your house with pitchforks and torches.
-Strong plot armor you've mentioned, I think JoJo is the only anime where they aren't afraid to kill off a likeable character.
-Women getting overly sexualized, you can create an attractive female heroine or a character without making her too sexualized but in anime that's just not possible.
-Moments that would just have a 1 in million chance of happening, guy bumping into a girl and when he falls he accidentally grabs her boobs woow she calls him a pervert so funny..

It's especially related to fantasy themed animes, but generally speaking.. How they scream before they do something.
I just can't take it.. So I completely mute or lower the volume as to find it bearable..

Then, the character obsession over one another. That's just too unrealistic and makes no sense to me.
Somebody's got superpowers that could come in handy if they were to get into relationship with them? Fair, but get real.. Why'd ever such a person be interested in them?
It's as if they were all unable to come to terms with the reality (within the fictional reality according to the story) and accept it..


There're a few more things that I would wanna nitpick, but even I'm aware of how controversial and inappropriate they might be to mention, let alone talk about, and so that's pretty much it for the time being.
Perhaps, I'll add some more during the day..

When the anime changes studio and downgrade the anime's artstyle and atmosphere.

When the anime skips the best ark or stop getting a continuation because the studio couldn't handle the source material.

When a masterpiece is left unfinished due to studio getting bankrupt or the bad treatment of the writer.

When the game's pv trailer animations is better than the official anime adoption.

EXACTLY, HORNBALL anime like High School DxD and fire force ruined that. ♥♥♥♥
i wanted to see the story. nope. boobs.......

The main shounen character that gets all nervous, sweaty and cut off when the girl he knows is interested in him.

That ♥♥♥♥ is annoying and ruins it when you really want them to be together.

Also generic looking GUNDAMs that looked slapped together (and where the hell are their feet). Also fights go on way too long (Dragonball syndrome).

Funny thing about that. Anime that try to stray from the tropes don't do as well with the core anime fans but anime that do stray from the tropes do better with people who don't hate anime but watch it sometimes. So there's more money to make in troping but it does create a samey feeling for sure.

-Overly using sexual jokes or sexualizing characters too damn much.

The list goes on. Its probably why I have drifted from anime and rarely find any that peak my interest. Too much same old recipie tropes used in majority of anime.
