So is Crunchyroll any good?

I just found this in my TV menu. It's an anime app called Crunchyroll.

Is it any good?

Crunchyroll used to be the source for anime. Now it's gone the way of other streaming services, and you have to get multiple services to watch anything decent.

Also modern Crunchyroll does quantity over quality, good shows are rare and there's a lot of trash.

It is sort of okay, but I really had a bad experience with it's UI, and video player, but that is on mobile app.

However, if the TV app is decent, then go for it, and as far as I know, you can try watching animes even without paying, but there will be a lot of ads.

Content wise, it is pretty good for the price, well back then I am not sure if it increased or not, since its been like 3 years ago.

from my experience not really. if you have netflix subscription they serve decent amount of popular anime. for me though I use bilibili right now, the subs are dirt cheap. the only gripe I have with bilibili is the fact that you still get ads even with premium, and the ads are super misleading (you press the continue to app button to skip ads. the x button on the ads is just a png to trick you to click the ads). Oh and the subs only applies when you're at south east asia.
