This is the sad case for most. Even after you have children and put in a lot of effort into your life, if you're not gifted with social privilege and money, family and friends start not caring either. We are just becoming obnoxiously monetary as a whole.
I say that, as that is my personal experience. The single or money minded individuals among my peers and family have always gotten more recognition. Even though they have always had more support and less priorities.. We don't value each other the ways we should.
