I think that would be counter productive and I would mean that we were about to go extict.
If you would be, you would just in on the fun and put a prediction.
What do you think? where will it land?
Extra question. Are you scared about 2024?
It's a clock that assumes we're anywhere near the worst. I don't believe that to be the case, yet. Of course they'll knock it closer, they'll probably knock it down to 60 seconds by February, just for fun.
I hear many people on this forum mock "doomers" for always assuming the worst is already here. I'll join them, except I won't give out any free passes just because "science" is slapped on the front.
You think the world is well atm?
With all the current conflicts? Nuclear powers at eachother throats, rogue states that might get them and our entire enviroment issue?
The Doomsday clock is not supposed to cause fear and tell we are all doomed, it is there as a cautious reminder, that we need to put words to action, if we want to survive in the long run.

That sure is afun take.
But what is your estimated time guess?
if anything is going to wipe out the humans, its the humans themselves.
but what comes to the planet and global warming caused by humans is nothing to worry about.
the planet has gone through worse things and harsher things. the planet will survive and life will begin anew with or without the human interference.
That is not how this works.. read the description I put in the OP
Midnight is destruction. Ok. What is the other reference point? Is there another reference point? How am I supposed to interpret one second? Is 90 seconds to midnight close, or far? What's the earliest the clock has ever been set? What was the world like then? Why was that point, that point and not, like 12:01 AM? What's the point of having a span of twelve hours if only the last couple of minutes are ever used?
It's just stupid. None of the are cool enough to have the world end in our life time. People been saying the world was gonna end for thousands of years and it never happens. So prob on 3/12/24.
They will call it the great reset, the next big chapter, the future. It's going to sound positive.
I think it's good because it's positive.
