Can undercooked chicken still be tasty or would you notice by the taste
Asking for a friend (the voice in my head telling me I’m going to die from my bad cooking)

Edit: I mean accidentally, if I was negligent in knowing whether I cooked it properly, would the taste give it away?

I think I'd notice from the salmonella poisoning.
Your "friend" is right. Cook your chicken all the way through.

The taste is bad. I had someone try to give me under-cooked chicken leg. Tasted awful. I said cook it more. They did and it was still under-cooked. Then they cooked it more and it was OK. I guess they normally eat them under-cooked.
I don't think it will be tasty, but if the raw chicken is not gonna kill me, it's the burned foods will.

Edit: I like cooking but damn I got long way to go...

Taste. I don't remember anything about the texture. But that was probably bad too.

depends how the chicken was "washed" first. different parts of world use different methods to kill the bacteria off. but yes, with chicken, you don't screw around with it, it's one of those meats you have to cook all the way through.

actually we have chicken sushi over here. I never ordered it cause I like normal sushi.
I always soak my chicken in bleach before cooking it to a fine medium rare. Perfecf everytime. Enjoy your dry ass no flavor having food, I guess.
Chicken's natural flavor is only terrible when it comes from a factory farm.

But still you gotta cook it to temp, 'underdone' or not.
