Anyone who picked the riot shield too
Any steady aim / marathon / sniper users i'd probably be chucking smokes and shooting at your legs while crouching lol.
Any soley noob tubers aside from the Javelin users i'd probably also be wasting your rockets and throwing smoke at you
I used to just do what I thought was fun, though my primary loadouts were tailored to being a right pain in search and destroy, great for my team but horrible for the enemy.
I would use a Kalashnikov as the primary and the PP2000 or Steyr TMP with the extended mags (As the model shows the long magazine but it was ridiculously small capacity in-game), Claymores and smoke grenades/flashbangs. The perks were Scavenger Pro (Resupply mines and grenades), Ninja Pro (For silent footsteps/invisible to hearbeat sensors) and Cold-Blooded Pro (For immunity to thermals and killstreak rewards).
I found the PP2000 to be an excellent primary weapon despite being a secondary, I would often use this with the suppressor and riot shield, the riot shield on the back gave protection from backstabbing and shots to the back and could be used to approach targets with my comrades then use the PP2000 to kill 'em.
Mines, Danger Close, Scavenger, grenade/rocket launchers often got me sent angry text and voice messages on Xbox-Live. Teamwork with your mates in public lobbies also tended to upset the meta as it seemed like the general public couldn't counter that very well.
Having shotguns as secondaries was also a great feature, as it doesn't make sense in almost any conflict or game to have a shotgun as your primary weapon as it so severely handicaps you unless you can switch between shot and slugs, but even then, accuracy of slugs (In real life) still leaves a lot to be desired for extended range combat. (Not just limited to CoD, I really dislike how most game depict shotguns as having such wild spread and short range, buckshot groupings at 25-50 metres are still viable and with a good choke and ammunition choice, hits up to 100 metres can be attained. They behave in most games like they have a rifled barrel.)
AR + smg secondary plus mines being undetected by most radars and attachments.
you'd be the dude in less traffic tight choke points or short hallways not so much long ranges like in the forest / woodland map where you would have snipers galore in trenches (where the global thermal nuclear warfare mod was also moonlighted on alot).
i'd say terminal rust and favela would probably be where you'd excel at alot since those maps were super tight areas and they had layers of 1st and 2nd stories as well as sometimes underground or above in 3 stories.
shotguns were mostly semi auto or pump so you'd either have bad aim but good reaction time and placement landing all shots or same with smgs but have bad reaction time lol spray and pray.
you'd actually be my one of my main target types since your loadout is the type enemies would have that would be ending my teammates killstreaks i'd just heckle you alot and toss smokes to cover my allies and try to trap you using care packages and just spraying the area with bullets knives and pistol shots from a distance. Nullifying the ninja type setup with just blinding the entire area with smoke and making everyone on equal terms only i'd have a slight advantage with perks that don't cover or mask my presence and focus on killing people or covering allies.
Since i'd be crouching alot or prone mines would be almost useless even if thrown where i would be in just shooting through walls.
on the same team though we'd probably be the best objective buddies / support for teammates. You ending killstreaks and setting up traps or just being sneaky. Meanwhile me diverting enemy attention being on the radar 24/7 while also calling in killstreaks to help teammates and confuse enemies. Me long range to mid range suppression. You short to close quarter surprise ambushes / attacks. Smoke grenades would help cover you even more and help with claymore or c4. Not to mention all the easier to kill enemies from me or you resupplying you and nearby allies.
Up to 2018, I was playing Search & Destroy literally everyday, dominating with K/D 2+, never below..
Regardless, my most favorite loadouts were heavily consisted of bullet penetration or staying out of sight. Each loadout was suitable for every single game mode, but I would never pick Scavenger into Search & Destroy.
My killstreak rewards were almost always UAV, C-UAV, Predator / Sentry / Harrier.
It was absolutely satisfying to toggle C-UAV whenever I have heard that their UAV got online.. And my enemies have absolutely hated it..
For Search & Destroy, I have had those;
UMP + FMJ
Magnum + FMJ
Marathon
Stopping Power (coulda be swapped with Lightweight, but 1.1x movement speed boost is barely noticeable, whereas 1.4x increased damage is day and night difference)
Ninja (a must, unless you've wanted to be heard across the entire map..)
Cookie / Blast Shield (to counter Stun grenades or explosive-happy squads)
Flashbangs / Smoke
Barret + FMJ
Magnum + FMJ
Sleight of Hands (sprinting and stopping with sprint each X seconds, as to ensure enough recovery and literally sprint all the time, just as if I've had Marathon)
Stopping Power
Ninja
Cookie / Blast Shield (mostly to counter Stun grenades)
Flashbangs
Handgun was a must, as if I've been the one to plant the bomb, switching to my main weapon right-away after planting have saved my life far too many times than I'd have liked to admit..
For longer lasting game modes, such as Domination or Team Deathmatch, I've either had Kalaschnikov, UMP, EBR, or Barret.
Kalaschnikov was always with FMJ or Heartbeat Sensor, always with Stopping Power and Scavenger;
UMP have had three or four types of classes; Silent one or bullet penetration focused ones with different perks. For example, FMJ with Stopping Power and Scavenger to ensure getting them through walls, Silencer with Cold-Blooded and Scavenger to sneak through their lines and catch them from behind, and FMJ with Stopping Power or Cold-Blooded with Marathon.
When it came to those two game modes, Stinger was a must; Too many UAV support requires taking them out, since team mates just don't care and run Stopping Power, Danger Close, and who knows what else, but never Cold-Blooded despite being notified of their UAV being active. The least I can do is take their UAV out each time I can.. Even though it's only for thirty seconds..
On maps like Wasteland or Derail, I have very often ran EBR with Silencer, Scavenger, and Cold-Blooded. The weapon doesn't kick at all, and they have no clue where I am shooting from, so.. Quite a camping style, but with occassional changing of positions, as to ensure to never get grenade killed or rushed by the enemies who've died to me.
With this loadout on Wasteland in particular, I was always getting K/D of 3+..
In general, my playstyle was very aggressive; Preaim, land the grenade line-ups to ensure getting the very first kills, rush the campers out, and with the help of UAV, watch them die to my bullet penetration.
The crisis came when they've had UAV, and I have had no Counter-UAV ready, there was too much air-support to be handled by that one Stinger player, and the enemies were camping our spawn points.
There wasn't much I could've done.. I've had issues running outta ammo, and if I've tried to get out and grab some due to my Scavenger, I've been killed by one of their campers or harrier, Pave Low, AC130, or Chopper.
The third perk was always Ninja Pro. Can't risk enemies hearing me, can I?
My deathstreak was always Copycat, as even those... Nine or ten custom slots for loadouts were never enough..
I've been very surprised every time people have been complaining about Danger Close with RPG, AT-4, or grenade launchers.. The game has been out for so long, don't they realize that Blast Shield denies Danger Close entirely?
There were a lot of stuff I've been aware of that'd your ordinary player never heard about.. Usually resulting in me taking them into mind and using them into my advantages..
Sadly no one was using a mic, neither was he.
honestly appreciate that you'd be in the corner b/c that'd be the area i'd always throw my throwing knives from across the map lol.
Also completely seen in sight so another RL or grenade would eventually get you.
Still simple yet effective loadout
that is pretty meta. You'd be the guy going into battle mostly close quarter areas. And the sniper loadout is pretty meta too since snipers lacked CQC and the pistols / magnums would be a good mid to close range alternative.
Nothing wrong with going with the flow tbh. UMP was the THE META smg. It was flat out broken 7/10 times in any situation cept maybe for shotguns and they'd have to be almost point blank close.
I would've probably played a game of cat and mouse calling in UAVs and counter UAVs in an arms race lmao. But yeah UAV and cUAVs were the best for both team plays and annoy the enemies.
blast shield was a catch 21 since it narrowed vision but if you ADS alot with snipers pistols or ARs / SMGs and courch then it really wouldn't affect you much. Not to mention a cUAV on both teams made people on equal terms.
i had both
