I would suggest asking in a more scientific forum and doing some research into your own, with regard to how quicksand forms. Technically you can do what is needed for a story to work, but if you are aiming for realism/good explanations, then the previous suggestion would be your best bet I think.

If you are working on a science project, about "real life" - i.e. non-fiction - that likely requires reliable references and all, you are looking and asking in the wrong place.

To give my two cents: yes, you can have quicksand in a cave. After all, you only need sand that is saturated with water. And caves do contain lots of water, being damp places on which water escape can be difficult. Of course, do not use me or anyone else here as reference or else you are failing this project lol.

If this is just a fictional story, then it can be anything you want. After all, is just fiction. And quicksand in caves have been already used in a few different fictional pieces of media.

It's a horror, fiction and an interactive book that i've been working on for a while. Yet, i wanted it to be more realistic then fiction. The fiction i've added to the story is the monsters.

Quicksand in a cave is intense I really like it.

That's why i thought adding three of my characters in that scene will hopefully be nail biting and will make you indecisive due to having choices that could kill a character or maybe two.

I believe that quicksand is a type of sand that is held in suspension in water. Effectively you are stepping in a pond but because of the sand in the water it is almost impossible to move in quicksand, so you just slowly sink.
It's supposed to be difficult to die in quicksand, in that you do float in water so you will only sink a little before you just stop sinking altogether.
You can have quicksand anywhere there is sand and water.

It's more effective in my story because i have monsters in my book. So, getting stuck in quick sand while having monsters hunting down my characters sounds quite scary and requires a lot of thinking.

Of course it can. If you understand how quicksand works, especially inside a unexplored cave this can happen...
I can't see why not, although the dangers of quicksand are greatly exaggerated in movies.
