You ever watch game shows? The question will be "In mathematics, this number is the sum of 3 and 4" and they'll guess 12.
"Complicated math" for 99% of people is literally like sixth grade.
And the calculations on parachutes and things can be rather complicated.
But you can also skip the math and just always wing it.
Like the things I can think of are few, like perhaps an equation to know what your colony wealth will cause to spawn in a raid... in rimworld.
You can probably use math in games about automation like say hydroneer you could try to find out rates and things. Or in tech modded minecraft maybe math can help you pre-plan an area such as number of generators to put in...but its so much easier to wing it.

THAT'SSSSS MEEEEEEEE!
jk, don't play this game
Edit. It was "New Home" plot mission, after Terran and Goner missions.
Talos Principle.
Rather simple math, of course.
The average gamer is not interested in solving complicated algebraic equations lol.

Unironically have this on my MP3 player because sometimes you want something that when taken out of context will worry people. Granted, I've got a lot of songs like that on there.
I'm pretty sure there's some puzzles like that in the 999 series.
Umbrella likes programming their lab equipment and security systems with old children's puzzles almost as much as they like themed keys and door inserts.
