Seems to be edited but most of it is there
Yeah you can do a crippling amount of damage if you push it down someone's auditory canal.

Yes, you can kill someone with your fists, so of course most things would work

They never specified how large the pencil was or how sharp it was.

In escrima, everything is a weapon. Some weapons do better than others under certain circumstances. Not to mention, you can use the same motions you use with knife with other similar objects like a fork, pen, knife, etc.

I had this theory that if you want to use a small weapon, at the least make sure it is very sharp. If you're going to use a blunt weapon, at the least make sure it's long enough to give you some distance. A short but blunt weapon (for example a Kubotan) is better than nothing but at the same time having one of the extremes as I mentioned before is better in my opinion.

Now I'm no professional fighter, nor did I have a lot of sparring experience. but these are just my thoughts. In the world of martial arts, everyone is biased about techniques and certain martial arts.

Using a very sharp pencil is fine... until you break it. A durable pen is what you want. Enough to may stab someone depending how sharp the pen is (fountain pen for example.) Or if your state allows it, open carrying a knife is just as fine.

any sharp object can inflict a killing blow, depends on personal strength and where you impale.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that. You might as well throw the eraser but even that won't do much. Might as well go with fists instead of some soft rubber.

Pencils are for beginners. Masters go for the teacup.
