Seems to be edited but most of it is there
I've been taken to the hospital because of it
I had this theory that if you want to use a small weapon, at the least make sure it is very sharp. If you're going to use a blunt weapon, at the least make sure it's long enough to give you some distance. A short but blunt weapon (for example a Kubotan) is better than nothing but at the same time having one of the extremes as I mentioned before is better in my opinion.
Now I'm no professional fighter, nor did I have a lot of sparring experience. but these are just my thoughts. In the world of martial arts, everyone is biased about techniques and certain martial arts.

Using a very sharp pencil is fine... until you break it. A durable pen is what you want. Enough to may stab someone depending how sharp the pen is (fountain pen for example.) Or if your state allows it, open carrying a knife is just as fine.

But yea if you are precice enough i guess?
I wouldn't go as far as to say that. You might as well throw the eraser but even that won't do much. Might as well go with fists instead of some soft rubber.
