Personally, I just don't like how Nintendo handled things like 3rd-party support or marketing with the Wii U.
Specs aren't everything. People don't dislike older games because they run on consoles that are less powerful. And third party isn't really an issue when the first party lineup is so good.
I didn't say anything about the specs. I said their software is limited. Mainly, the best games you can get on the system come directly from Nintendo...and they do make great games. Problem is they take a lot of time to make great games, which is great. But Nintendo has been struggling with 3rd party publishers for years. So there isn't much to play in between big Nintendo releases.
So you're saying while the games are great they only come out every few months.
I don't want to play another Mario game. I don't enjoy Smash Bros. or Mario Party outside of a group in my living room setting. I don't want one of their best characters to be turned into submissive tool, or see one of my favorite heros get involved with a horde based fighter.
The games are solid, just kind of sad to me. And remembering how much fun I used to have with them, how great they were, it makes me tired.
And the Wii U has the dumbest name in the history of game systems. Hardware is alright, but if you can only think of a horrible movie whenever you hear it, that is a bad thing.

See what I mean?
For Nintendo? Not really.....during the Gamecube and 64 they were far more rare than that. You might get about 3 in a year. Not sure how the Wii-Us game schedule is doing. But on previous generations there were far bigger stretches than a few months.
