Just bought the PS4 controller for PC, literally the BEST controller on the PC
I often feel as though the community tricked me in the early stages into getting an xbox 360 controller.

I suspect they are just xbox fan boys who lied to me when I was requesting advice on what controller to buy. The Xbox 360 controller is garbage becuase the Dpad is filth. You cannot realistically play online fighting games competitively with it. Anytime you are actually trying to play professionally online it fails hard.

For that reason I felt cheated by this community and as such I recommend anyone buying a controller to be very careful of advice given online even if its done by the steam community. The best way is to research.

With that said some folks aka xbox fan boys tried to trick me into buying that xbox one controller. I didn't fall for it this time, the Dpad is still inferior to the PS4 and PS3, and it has no built in battery to begin with.

I went ahead and bought the PS4 controller and it works fine on windows 10 out of the box. No need for drivers or anything like that if you are just using the cable. However I ordered a bluetooth dongle so I can use it wirelessly. XBOX One controller is also useless in this regard no wireless support.

The PS4 controller is somehow more comfortable than the XBOX, the Dpad is also placed in the correct position for comfortable use of fighting games. The pS4 controller is miles better than the PS3 aswell in comfort and for big hands.

Its incredible what SONY has managed to achieve with this PS4 controller. Its slim, sexy and just plain comfortable has wireless support on PC and built in batter. In stark contrast the xbox one has terrible placement for Dpad, the Dpad is also still joined together so its inferior to the PS4 but better than the 360. It has no internal battery and is fat and ugly looking.

If you are thinking of getting a controller please go PS4 all the way. And don't be tricked by fan boys telling you otherwise. It also works out of the box for mortal Kombat X and Street fighter 4 on PC. There is also a software online that forces the PC to think its a 360 controller so everything works just fine.

Don't believe any liars who tell you otherwise it is the best option for PC now that SONY has provided windows support.

Quality is the same, it is the shape and fit to your hand that should be the defining trait. The playstation ones feel weird, so I use the xbox ones.

The XBOX 360 controller IMO is best for games like fallout where you may be using the Analog stick most of the times. But even then I see no need when I can use a mouse and keyboard.

The real use of a controller on PC is fighting games. The XBOX everyone of them is horrible for this purpose.

Unless you are talking about a fight stick, the PS4 controller is hands down number 1, uno numero on the PC. Because it can play both fighting games professionally and RPG and is plug n play out of the box. For anything else there is a 3rd party driver that fixes all issues its just wonderful what the programming community is able to do.

The xbox can only play RPG. Now the XBOX one has made a big improvement in the Dpad but its still inferior to the PS4 which has 4 seperated buttons for each direction and the added bonus of being in the top left hand corner.

Good points. Glad I don't do fighters seriously anymore. Although my X-Arcade dual stick servers that purpose when I do.

I just prefer the feel of the 360 over the Sony, as I only use it for games like Batman or Tomb Raider, it is more comfortable for me in a long session. And it gets the job done quite well.

Nothing new to me. I always use PS controllers to play if I play with a controller. They just fit so much better into my hands imo. I don't like the Layout of the Xbox Controllers.
There is an even bigger improvement in the PS4 controller when you download the DS4 Tool and the Xbox controller driver (Tricks windows into thinking the PS4 is an xbox contoller). This means native support for the PS4 controller with working touch pad, motion sensor, etc.

Nice I gonna try it out aswell.

would be cool if I could use my nexus 4 phone as a gateway between the controlelr to the PC so i can use the bluetooth on the phone.

Wonders if that is even possible gonna have to google it. lol but yeah I know a bluetooth dongle is best

Xbox = Big fat american hands
PS3 = tiny fragile Japanese hands

In all seriousness I use both. Because the if my friends want to play games on my PC.

I use the Xbox controller more because it's applicable to more games, unlike PS3 where it only works on Fighting games. Unless I use a driver.
