Lazy Fresh Prince of Bel Air episodes

I started to watch FPoBE off of Netflix for the first time and I've really enjoyed the show so far. But at least once every season they have a lazy episode where 90% of the episode is flashbacks to a previous episode. Am I the only person who is really annoyed by these?

It's called a clip show and pretty much every series has them. Everyone hates them but they're quick and cheap to make so they can fill the timeslot if you blew all your budget for the season already or the writers are off on strike or what have you.

The lazy episode was the Fresh Prince getting shot EP, where he has to take the gun away from carilton to stop him from going out and shooting gangbangers.

It was back in the day without NetFlix or TiVo. People actually enjoyed clip shows because they may have missed some episodes or just completely forgot what happened that season.

The clips they usually show are irelevant.

I disagree, because it was almost a point by point recreation of every similar television episode to come out. It was lazy because it was a cookie cutter episode, and that they didn't even bother to get the characters 'IN' character.

Carlton wouldn't buy a gun. He wouldn't know where, how, or from who to buy a gun. And He wouldn't plan on strait up murdering anyone. Will, maybe, and would have made the better story. Carlton? lazy writing to make the big star of the show look good while solving an issue.
