However, why don't you just disable Windows "mouse accelerations" and "enhanced pointer precision" under the Control Panel. Use raw input in games. Set your mouse DPI to best suit your monitor resolution and size. Ensure it's polling rate is 1000Hz.
Why Windows tries to be helpful and just messes things up more with it's own settings, is beyond me.
This doesn't answer my question, at least not completely...I used MouseRecorder, it does seem to work. Mouse movement is less "smooth". It feels like I disabled it along with MarkC...I do not trust their implementations of Raw Input, I opt to use RINPUT instead. Mouse sample rates set that high bugs me, it makes mouse movement inconsistent like that to "acceleration".
Does this "mouse" fix via regedit actually remove mouse filtering/smoothing?
It's adjusting the smoothing curve Windows applies to the cursor.
It's in HEX:
00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00 = would be 0,0 pointer of the cursor
That's apply to both X and Y axis. The rest is then just a very slight curve from that point. Much less than what Window defaults with, but it doesn't actually disable it, rather just makes it less noticable.
If you just wanted it turned off completely:
Start > Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options > Disable 'Enhance pointer precision' feature.
Also, ensure "Select a pointer speed" is in the middle on 6 / 11, to avoid software acceleration being added.

Polling rate of 1000Hz is best if your USB port can handle it. This is the amount of updates from the device it checks for per second. Higher = more accurate.

You would need to tell us your mouse and screen resolution - what you are actually attempting to achieve in which games? What DPI are you using on the mouse?
400 DPI, Zowie FK2, 1080p resolution.
Calculating optimal gaming settings for your setup...
Zowie fk2
DPI = 400
Polling Rate = 500Hz
Windows Sense = 6/11
Mouse Acceleration = OFF
Raw Input = ON
Mousepad = Consider something soft, such as Artisan Zero (Mid)
Consider using - Mark C Windows Mouse Thingy (yes, that's what it's actually called):

(Might be similar or what you are already attempting to use? Just make sure it matches with your Windows scaling)

Jump into a FPS (First Person Shooter), flick the wrist (without snapping) to perform 90 / 180 degrees. Ensure the rotation doesn't look upwards or down (signs of mouse acceleration, bad surface, or incorrectly moving). You should be able to perform a 360, ending up with the crosshairs at the position you started.
Right, slightly weird that it comes back to my settings that I already had. What I did was repapplied MarkC fix for 8/8.1 (with no acceleration, EPP off, 100% dpi scale etc), restarted, noticed the hex values were changed meaning it worked. Now my mouse mat is a huge Overclockers mat which is soft, I wonder whats your considerations for using RINPUT? Many people said that Source engine's Raw Mouse Input feels out of tone though I dare not use it. I've also used in other games as well.
