It's a program that lets you remember your ex. If you run it you have to use an obcene amount of software to close it. Lol jk.

But by the name of it I'd say it's a client-side (i.e: on your computer) program that does stuff like tracking your keystrokes, passwords, etc.

It is supposed to be scary and ♥♥♥♥. It's the whole Ben Drowned story with The Legend of Zelda: Majora's mask. If you don't know what Ben Drowned is, google it.

Oh yeah a friend told me about Ben Drowned, if it's about that than yes I believe it's a virus or malware of some sort.
But generally just don't run any program that you don't remember installing and you be fine lol.

Well if you click it you'll probably remember what it is.

This is now a video game creepypasta thread.

This one is my favorite.

Not necessarilly, some of the more advanced viruses and malware can enter your PC without any indication that it did, which is why having trustworthy virus protection software is a must if you plan to ever use the internet.

It was a pun. It's called remember.exe so I said if you click on it, you'll remember what it is. Get it? Haha. Why do I try.

Or was my whole reply sarcastically assuming that you'd think I was being serious? o.O

I watched a video about it, and then read a forum thread about it. One of the people there said that it changed their computer name to you shouldn't have done that and renamed all their files to you shouldn't have done that. It seems everyone has different results. Weird. Whoever made this must be really good with computers.

Seems interesting

Seems like a malicious program. Don't run it, maybe?

I wouldn't touch that file with YOUR computer.
It is a very well written game and is different for each person who plays it generally. I've not had any problems from 'playing' it other than some temp files left over (and a few nightmares lol), however others have had issues as someone said above. The dev must really be good with PCs to do what this game could.
