Rockstar vs Naughty Dog
For me these are the two best developers out there, so just curious which is the better developer for you guys. Naughty Dog is my choice.

For those that dont know, Rockstar brought us
GTA Series
Max Payne Series
Manhunt Series
LA Noire
Red Dead Series
Bully

Naughty Dog brought us
The Last of Us (Greatest game ever made imo)
Uncharted Series
Crash Bandicoot Series
Jak Series

They're both horrible.

+1 to Rockstar though for actually making PC games.

Valve.

:B1:

By the way OP, didn't Remedy make Max Payne 1 and 2 and Rockstar made 3?
EDIT: Ah, Remedy developed MP 1 and 2 with Rockstar as the publisher, and Rockstar was the developer of 3 iirc.

The Last of Us was the only good game Naughty Dog gave to the world; Uncharted is a Tomb Raider gender swap with ♥♥♥♥ characters, Jak and Crash Bandicoot were frustrating and annoying wank.

Hate every game on this list, with the exception of Last of Us, which I'd like to play. I vote neither.

Rockstar still makes okay games. Naughty Dog used to make awesome games and now they contribute to the end of the world as we know it. Rockstar wins.

No accounting for bad taste, I guess.

Take off the rose-tinted shades. They sucked, as did 99% of all 3D platformers.

Naughty dog made my childhood! CTR racing, The crash bandicoot series, and other games on the ps1, my favorite game console. Naughty dog, definitely.

Midnight Club has been one of my favorite racing game series ever. I hope they release a new one soon.

The majority of gamers and reviewers disagree with you. Perhaps the issue lies with you.

What's the state of 3D plat-forming today? All the old genres are coming back: space sims, isometric RPGs, point-n-clicks and even damned FMV; new 3D platformers are pretty much absent on the PC, now it could only exist by pretending to be something else.

Are you saying that correlation implies causality?

I'm saying there is no real demand for it any more; 3D platformers were like FMV games in the early 90s, an experiment using new technology at the time, but largely fell flat because it was inferior to what came before. Sure, some were good (Mario Galaxy or Psychonaunts) but almost all the others all had the same problems (glitchy, annoying camera, bad controls that were both loose and demanded exactness at the same time etc).

If it was really as good as you recall, why aren't there more of these games being Greenlighted or Kickstarted? Nearly everything else has been.

Pretty much the hipster mentality of disliking everything that's popular.

If I wanted to be "hipsterish" about it, I could find "vintage" appeal in the genre. It's last holdout today is the Wii U, and now even Zelda is going open-world.

Personally I liked Spyro way more than Crash Bandicoot, so I vote Insomniac.
