There is a group of fans attempting to make a private server, though the problem is they have to literally rebuild the game from the data scraps they can scavange from the game...the upside is they can make custom/new content, npcs, demons, etc...downside is, well, that ♥♥♥♥ is time consuming. We likely wont see IMAGINE come back for years depending on the amount of support they get in helping get the game and server up.
The easiest way, i'd think, is if Atlus just bought everything from CAVE (or whoever...not sure if they have any form of control over IMAGINE) and bring it to steam. Atlus has a few games on here already, so it's not too far a reach....the downside is, would they pull the same mistakes Aeria Games did with IMAGINE?
As it is, this is a clear example of how sad and ultimately pointless MMOs are...once official support dies, the game dies and it is next to impossible to salvage or keep it alive to play beyond the support drop.
There needs to be some "old folks home" of a sort for Online Games...so fans can continue playing the games they love with others/friends. Games just dying forever is...sad. :(
Hell. I'll take any Mega Ten game, now days, not just the persona spin off series.
